Made-up example

A week at a company of five.

Van Dijk Installatie doesn't exist, but everyone knows a company like it: an owner, a work planner, two technicians and someone who does the books two days a week. This is how their week goes with Fiatto.

Monday to Friday

Monday: the request

Work planner Sanne needs a new drill. She requests it in Fiatto and attaches the wholesaler's quote.

Monday: approved from the site

Owner Peter receives an email. Between two jobs he opens the link on his phone, looks at the quote and approves, without logging in.

Tuesday: the order and a receipt

The order goes to the wholesaler. Technician Mark fills up the van on the way and scans the receipt inside it, where he has no signal. The receipt is sent as soon as he is back online.

Wednesday: the delivery

The drill arrives. Sanne records the receipt of goods in Fiatto, so it is clear later what was actually delivered.

Thursday: the invoice

The invoice arrives in the invoice mailbox. Fiatto puts it next to the order and the receipt of goods, and everything matches. When the wholesaler sends the same invoice again a day later, Fiatto stops it.

Friday: holiday sorted

Peter is away for a week and sets Sanne as his substitute. Whatever comes in next week, she decides. Lisa from the books sees which invoices have been checked and doesn't have to chase anyone.

About this example

  • Van Dijk Installatie and the people in it are made up. The example shows how the steps in Fiatto work, not how an existing company uses it.
  • Every step in this week is part of Kern, the smallest plan.
  • With fewer people, one person takes more steps. If the owner is the only one who can decide, he also approves his own request, and that can be found later.
